Former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Eoin Morgan has revealed his favourite team for the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The English World Cup-winning captain  has openly shared his affection for KKR and hopes for the two-time IPL champions to shine.

Having played for multiple franchises in the IPL, including Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Punjab Kings (PBKS), Morgan has a wealth of experience in the cash-rich league.

In his notable IPL career, the ex-England skipper played 83 matches, scoring 1405 runs. Having played more than 80 games, Morgan is well versed of all the IPL teams. Notably, he led KKR to the final in 2021, where they were defeated by MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

During a recent interaction on JioCinema, Morgan spoke warmly about the KKR team, praising their unique identity and impressive performance in the ongoing season.

“KKR holds a soft spot in my heart, it bleeds purple in IPL time – I am enjoying, it has been so good to watch KKR this season,” said Eoin Morgan during an interaction with JioCinema.

In IPL 2024, KKR's performance has been remarkably impressive. Securing three wins out of four matches, the team led by mentor Gautam Gambhir and captain Shreyas Iyer has displayed a combination of skill, strategy, and determination, setting a promising tone for their journey in the tournament. 

With a talented lineup of players and strategic leadership, KKR is looking like a complete unit and they've emerged as one of the top title contenders as the IPL progresses.
