The ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023-24 came much into the limelight following the spat between S Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir became public after both the former alleged the latter of slandering.

The much-talked-about incident occurred during the Eliminator match between Gambhir-led India Capitals and Gujarat Giants, who Sreesanth represents, where both former India teammates entered a mid-pitch altercation.

Now, the LLC has taken notice of the issue and will conduct an inquiry into the whole incident that has even crossed the boundary lines and reached social media.

Former India wicketkeeper-batter Syed Kirmani, who is the head of the Code of Conduct & Ethics Committee in LLC, stated that the tournament strives to uphold the spirit of the game, and it will launch a through inquiry into the violations.

Here's what Kirmani said

"Legends League Cricket strives to uphold the spirit of cricket and sportsmanship and will conduct an internal investigation on the violation of the code of conduct. Any misconduct that has occurred both on and off the field including on social media platforms will be dealt with strictly."

"The code of conduct has clearly stated that necessary action will be taken against players that bring disrepute to the league, the spirit of the game and the teams that they are representing. We make our stand very clear and continue to work towards sharing the game with millions of cricketing lovers across the nation and world.”

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Sreesanth has been issue a notice by LLC commissioner over his claims over Gambhir, but the meeting will only happen when the pacer takes down all his social media post regarding the same.
