South African upcoming star Tristan Stubbs, who's currently playing for Delhi Capitals (DC), revealed that his teammate and Indian wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav refused to bowl to him in the nets to keep his weapons hidden ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Delhi bounced back bravely after a weak start into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season to now stake claim on the playoff spot alongside the likes of Chennai, Lucknow, and Hyderabad. 

They will be up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for a crucial encounter, which will take place at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.

However, ahead of the pivotal clash, mind games between DC teammates were exposed by South African all-rounder Tristan Stubbs. 

Stubbs was on air with 'The Grade Cricketer' podcast when the host asked him if he was able to pick India's acclaimed wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the nets. 

Tristan Stubbs disclosed that Kuldeep Yadav has not yet bowled to him in the nets this season. In fact Stubbs claimed that he asked the spinner multiple times for a session which Kuldeep blatantly refused.

The all-rounder reckoned that Kuldeep Yadav wants to keep his mystery intact ahead of the T20 World Cup, and hence, he's playing these mind games. 

Furthermore, Stubbs added that part of the reason why he wants to face Kuldeep is to prepare for the World Cup. So, he is also indulging in these mind games to an extent and revealed that Kuldeep and him are on the same page as far as World Cup preparations are concerned.

Kuldeep Yadav was a part of India's squad announced for the upcoming ICC event last month alongside Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja.
