Former Aussie opener and IPL winner, Adam Gilchrist has questioned Hardik Pandya's fitness after yet another torrid show in the IPL.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper conceded 26 runs in the last over against CSK and that was point of the difference in the end. He looked a pale shadow of himself and lacked the cutting edge to bowl in the slog overs.

Hardik did manage to scalp a couple of wickets, but he went for 43 runs, as MS Dhoni smacked him for three sixes in the last over, which prompted Gilchrist to cast doubt on his fitness level. The MI captain also failed to deliver with the bat and has been a subject of scrutiny from the fans and expert.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Gilchrist stated that Hardik looks unfit and looked scattered the way he bowled.

"The only positive about Hardik Pandya and his bowling was that he was prepared to take on the challenge. I am captain, I am gonna have a crack but then he looks proppy, as we use in Australian sporting terms, you are not quite fluent. He does not look anywhere near 100 percent fit with the ball in hand and if there is any doubt about his physicality. His bowling was scattered," Gilchrist opined.

At one stage, CSK looked set to post a total in region of 180-190. However, Hardik's last over to MS Dhoni changed the complexion of the match as the Yellow Army posted 206. Chasing the total, Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 105 off 63, but hardly received support from the other end as MI lost by 20 runs.
