England captain Ben Stokes expressed gratitude for the swift resolution of young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed's visa delay, attributing the quick fix to the Indian government and the BCCI.

Ahmed, a spinner hailing from Pakistan, had initially faced complications with a single-entry visa upon his arrival in Rajkot after England's vacation in Dubai. However, the necessary paperwork was completed just a day before the third Test against India.

Here's what he said:

"For any individual having to wait for that is always an anxious period, but thankfully, we got it through this morning, and great job from the guys at the airport for giving him his visa to get through initially, and everyone at the BCCI and the government to get the visa quickly."

Earlier in the series, off-spinner Shoaib Bashir also confronted visa hurdles, joining the team in Hyderabad on the third day of the first Test. Stokes commended Ahmed for adeptly navigating the situation.

The seamless resolution of Ahmed's visa issue highlights the efficiency of the Indian authorities and the collaborative efforts between the BCCI and the government.

In the upcoming Rajkot game, Stokes is set to mark his 100th Test appearance, becoming the 16th England cricketer to reach this milestone. However, the celebrated all-rounder downplayed the significance of this achievement. The promising wrist-spinner has been a consistent presence in England's playing XI for the initial two Tests in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, and unless there are alterations in the tourists' strategy, he is anticipated to maintain his role in the team.
