The pride of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli is arguably the greatest batter in the history of the Indian Premier League. He is the only player to have scored over 7,000 IPL runs and also has the most number of IPL hundreds to his name. He even led the RCB team to the finals during his prime year in 2016, but unfortunately, could not lift the cup. 

In his IPL career, Virat scored 7,263 runs, including seven centuries and 50 half-centuries so far. His amazing numbers place him at the fourth position with 11 Player of the Match awards as the captain, throughout his IPL captaincy.

So far, KKR have won two IPL titles and both of them came under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. He was nothing short of a lucky charm to the Knight Riders family and now that he is back, KKR would hope for another title. 

Gambhir is still amongst the most successful captains of the Indian Premier League, despite getting retired in 2018. The man who led the Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles, Rohit Sharma is undoubtedly the most successful captain in the history of the IPL. Talking about leading from the front, Rohit has been selfless for the Mumbai team and has played in different positions as per the requirements of the team.

He has led the CSK team to win the IPL title five times and even a couple of Champions League titles as well.

Talking about his IPL numbers, with 5,082 runs in 218 innings including 24 half-centuries and the highest score of unbeaten 84, Dhoni has been a perfect finisher for the Chennai Super Kings. He has emerged as the Player of the Match on 16 occasions as the captain, which is the most by any captain in the history of the Indian Premier League.
