All eyes will be on Marnus Labuschagne when Australia lock horns with South Africa in a 3-match Test series, starting from December 17.

The world number 1 ranked Test batter was at his imperial best against West Indies, scoring three centuries in a row. He'll take the centre stage once again in a dream match-up against the country of his birth - South Africa.

The 28-year-old batter believes becoming father has helped him find a better work life balance.

Marnus is a family man

"Becoming a dad has probably helped me switch off a little bit from the game when I'm at home. My family has adopted Australia as their home and they supported me, they supported the Australian cricket," Labuschagne stated.

With a dream game for Labuschagne just around the corner, the Aussie batter believes that he'll be in the radar of the Proteas pace bowlers.

South Africa skipper, Dean Elgar this week revealed an interesting encounter he had with Marnus three years ago in the England County circuit.

In a bid to rattle the Proteas batter, Labuschagne started talking to him in Afrikaans.

When asked about if he would apply the same tactics again, Labuschagne said:

"We'll have to wait and see. I have no doubts they're going to throw some curve-balls and hopefully the responses can be either funny or none at all."
