In a significant development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finally issued Mohammad Amir the NOC (No Objection Certificate) to participate in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 league. Earlier, the board denied Amir of the NOC, allowing some other Pakistani players to play in the league.

However, after being permitted, Amir represented the Bangla Tigers in their fourth league-stage fixture against Northern Warriors on Sunday. But the veteran pacer was ordinary with the ball, recording figures of none for 28 in two overs.

Amir has had a prolonged feud with the apex body since his involvement in the spot-fixing scandal dating back to 2010. Although the 30-year-old made a remarkable comeback after serving a five-year ban, his commitment to the national team has always been questioned.

Led by Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangla Tigers have had a forgettable journey this season, placed at the bottom with only one win from four matches. On Tuesday, they will face the Delhi Bulls in their fifth group-stage fixture in Abu Dhabi.
