Kane Williamson thinks all young players of the Indian T20I squad during the ongoing tour to New Zealand will make their mark in international cricket.

India's senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul opted to take a rest in the T20I series. Furthermore, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah missed due to their respective injuries.

Hardik Pandya is leading the team, while talented batters like Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson also mark their presence in the squad. In the bowling unit, Umran Malik, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav have the right opportunity to stake their claim for a permanent place in the side.

The Indian team management is being forced by cricket fans to give an opportunity to players performing well in the Indian Premier League after the T20 World Cup fiasco.

Furthermore, the roadmap will be laid for filling the missing pieces for the Men in Blue leading into the T20 WC 2024.

In this regard, Williamson thinks all the players in the squad have displayed their quality in the IPL, and will certainly be doing well for Indian team in the coming years.

“I’ve got no doubt they all will be big players for India, I’ve seen them all in the IPL. They’ve got great quality irrespective of the names they put out," Williamson said.

After the 1st T20I between both teams washed out on Friday, they will clash in the subsequent game on Sunday.
