Pakistan captain Babar Azam was full of ecstasy as his team humbled New Zealand by seven wickets to proceed to the final of the ongoing T20 World Cup, scheduled on November 13 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

In a remarkable turnaround of sorts, Pakistan secured the finale berth, although it seemed highly unlikely that they would make it to the semis at one stage.

After appreciating the crowd for their overwhelming support and praising Mohammad Haris for his aggressive stroke play, Babar talked about enjoying the win. However, he accented that their focus still resides on lifting the coveted trophy.

Here is what Babar said

"Thanks to the crowd. We feel like we're playing at home. Got a good start with the first 6 overs with the ball. Later on the ball didn't come on well. Fast bowlers finished well. We planned before going that we'll utilise the powerplay,

"He's a young guy and showing his aggression (Haris). He's playing very well. We're going to enjoy this moment, but at the same time have focus on the final."

Meanwhile, after having qualified for the final already, Pakistan would have to wait till tomorrow to know who their opponent is as India and England push for the final spot at the Adelaide Oval.
