Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has recently criticised the Pakistan captain Babar Azam for his selfish captaincy.

Gambhir claimed that the Pakistan skipper should bat in the middle order and allow players like Fakhar Zaman to open the innings as it would allow the Men in Green to start on a more aggressive note.

Now Shahid Afridi has hit out at Gambhir stating that India will be back home from the World Cup soon, implying that an elimination is just around the corner.

India will take on Bangladesh later today and they will look to bounce back after the defeat against South Africa in their last outing.

India's top order was flattened by the South African pace brigade and they will have to step up more consistently if the Men in Blue are to win the competition.

Meanwhile, India are certainly one of the favourites to win the tournament this year and it remains to be seen whether they can go all the way.

As quoted by Hindustan Times, Shahid Afridi said:

"During the tournament, we'll try and tell Babar to say something about him. Afterall, he (Gambhir) will head straight back home to India too."

Pakistan are in a precarious position right now and they will need to win their remaining games and hope for some luck if they are to get to the semi finals.
