After a humiliating defeat against Ireland, England since then have been struggling to find a place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. Their washout against Australia have made the matters dicey as now they are in a spot of bother.

However, their star all-rounder Moeen Ali opened up on his side chances in the mega-event and said that after the defeat against their neighbours, they would be going all in for the big prize.

Furthermore, he stated that the conditions that day against Ireland weren't perfect to play as they were finding it difficult but he said that he has believe in his side. Also, he added that they still are a threatening side which should be a cause of concern for other sides.

What Moeen said

“I don’t see why we shouldn’t,

“The wicket the other day [against Ireland] wasn’t great and they bowled quite well on it. It’s not easy sometimes but I think we should go big, I think we will and we’re going to have to if we’re going to win this competition.

“If it comes to run rate it would be a shame and we would deserve it because we lost to Ireland. We were terrible that day in my opinion. Win our two games and see what happens. If we win those two and get through I think we have a great chance. We are a dangerous side and I don’t think teams will want to play us.”

England's next encounter will be against Sri Lanka on 5th November at Sydney Cricket Ground.
