CSA T20 Challenge 2022-23 | October 27

The 2022-23 season of the CSA T20 Challenge continued on October 27 (Friday). Here's the highlights of the action, which transpired in Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. 


Western Province vs North West

Invited to bat first, Western Province got off to a terrific start under the able opening pair of Gavin Kaplan and Daniel Smith. The duo added 93 runs for the first wicket before Kaplan was dismissed for 39. 

Smith maintained his tempo to score 69 off 46, while George Linde hit 21 off 12.  The skipper Kyle Verreynne provided a contribution of 17 off 11, which paved way for the team to finish on 164. 

In response, Heino Kuhn (0) and Lesego Senokwane (2) could not be potent enough for North West. Wesley Marshall held the fort well to hit 30 off 19 which resurrected the team's innings. 

Although Senuran Muthusamy (39*) and Duan Jansen (23) were impressive, Northwest fell short by 27 runs. Nandre Burger and Dane Paterson scalped two wickets apiece for the Western Province.
