Tymal Mills has been called in the English squad for injured Reece Topley, who sustained an ankle injury. Pending ICC approval, Mills will join the strong bowling line-up containing David Willey, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Ben Stokes and Mark Wood.

Topley's injury has been diagnosed as more severe, and he will be sent home to have surgery that will rule him out for atleast 3-4 months. Luke Wood, meanwhile, has been added as a travelling reserve with the squad.

Mills was having a direct competition with Richard Gleeson, who was in magnificent form in the T20Is for England. His selection was made based on his previous experience on the global stage in last year's T20 World Cup, which was cut short by a thigh injury, where he accounted for seven wickets.

Furthermore, his plethora of experience on Aussie soil playing in the Big Bash will be coming in handy, where he was famously known for his variations which were challenging to read.

He, however, hasn't featured in any of the matches after the Hundred clash against Birmingham Phoenix on 10th August, after which he underwent treatment for his right toe injury.
