Pakistan, high on confidence after their shock win over India Women, plummeted UAE by 71 runs in Sylhet. The win marked their fourth of the ongoing Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022, as they reaffirm their number two stance on the points table.

Aliya Riaz, Muneeba Ali orchestrate an easy win

Pakistan all-rounder Aliya Riaz clubbed 57* from just 36 balls after the ‘Women in Green’ were invited to bat first. Opener Muneeba Ali also provided much assistance to the total from the outset, smacking a boundary-laden 43.

Nida Dar delivered the finishing touches to the innings with her 17-ball 25*, as Pakistan Women listed a challenging 145-5 on the board. UAE all-rounder Esha Oza unfurled the spell of the match, as she claimed three wickets for just 22 from her four overs.

The Chaya Mughal-led side repeatedly faltered in their response, as they kept losing wickets without forming a single notable partnership. Kavisha Egodage at number three washed up 43 deliveries to score just 18 at the top, as UAE finished their run-chase at a listless 74-5.

Among the five Pakistani bowlers used in the innings, as many as four of them pocketed a wicket each, with Aiman Anwer the pick of them through her economical spell.
