The eighth edition of the T20 World Cup will begin from October onwards in Australia. One of the teams that will enter the world event as favorites will be India.

India will be looking forward to improve upon their performance in the tournament the last time around. The winners of the inaugural edition of the tournament were knocked out in the group stages itself.

But this time India will be heading in with a different skipper and a new look squad. In terms of bowling, the spin department will be featuring Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel

An exclusion that has been a talking point amongst the fans has been that of young leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi. The 22 year old has featured quite regularly in the Indian side after an impressive stint at the last edition of the IPL. He has taken 16 wickets to his name in 10 games.

He should now perform in such a way that he becomes undroppable: Gavaskar

Talking about the young leggie's exclusion, Sunil Gavaskar told India Today earlier that it should not be worrying the youngster as there is another World Cup in a couple of years. Bishnoi, who's twenty two currently, has age on his side as well. the former Indian skipper also stressed on the fact that Bishnoi should perform in a way that he becomes indispensable.

Responding to the legendary batter's comments, Bishnoi said:

“If he(Sunil Gavaskar) is backing me, then he must have seen something in me. And you get a lot of confidence from such greats who have ruled the world of cricket. It becomes meaningful,” Bishnoi told Sports Tak.
