England likely to make a few changes heading into the third T20I at Karachi

After victory in the first match, England were annihilated by the hosts in the second T20I at Karachi. On a placid batting surface, the visitors won the toss and decided to bat first with one change from the first T20I as Liam Dawson came in for Richard Gleeson who left the field owing to some discomfort.

England, despite a sluggish start, managed to post 199/5 with Moeen Ali leading their charge with the bat scoring an impressive unbeaten 55 off just 23 deliveries. He was ably supported by Ben Duckett (43 off 22) and Harry Brook (31 off 19). However what followed in the second innings was absolute carnage.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam (110*) and his opening partner Mohammed Rizwan (88*) joined forces to defeat England by 10 wickets.

Tom Helm, Olly Stone in contention for debuts

Post the defeat, Moeen Ali, the stand in skipper said that England will be a couple of changes for the third T20I at the same venue. He said,

"There will be a couple of changes tomorrow, with guys coming back,"

"We're not sure exactly who yet, but it's about coming up with ideas and different ways to get wickets. That's the crucial thing when you get a big score: if you're taking wickets, most of the time, you're going to win the game."

It is very likely that most of England's changes will be in the bowling department with Tom Helm and Olly Stone in contention for their debuts. David Willey has struggled in this series, leaking 85 runs in 7.3 wicketless overs, while Luke Wood found his second international appearance significantly tougher than his first.
