Virat Kohli surpasses Rohit Sharma to register most 50+ scores in T20Is

Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli has overtaken Rohit Sharma to record most number of 50-plus scores in the history of T20Is. Kohli achieved this phenomenal feat during India's first Super four clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai. 

Coming at number three, the talismanic batter hammered a well-compiled 60 off 44 balls, ensuring a fitting finish to the Indian innings. This was Kohli's 32nd T20I fifty and thus,  he surpassed Rohit's tally of 31 fifty-plus scores to add another feather to his crown. 

As we know, the last couple of years haven't been kind to the batting maestro, as he has been marred with inconsistency with the bat across formats. However, he seems to have regained his mojo after his comeback in the Asia Cup. 

Despite looking a bit rusty initially, Kohli contributed handy 35 runs in the first game against Pakistan. He went a step further and played a majestic knock of 59 against Hong Kong in the next match. 

The Delhi-born was seen in his vintage best tonight, as he smashed his way through to a magical 44-ball 60, helping India post a competitive total of 181 on the board. His flamboyant knock, that involved four boundaries and one huge six over the cow corner, rolled the clock back and was a clear indication of his sublime touch.
