As we know, Australia have included swashbuckling batter Tim David in their squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup at home.
Reacting to his selection, Australia captain Aaron Finch said that David is a priceless asset for the team as he brings invaluable batting value to the middle order. The veteran opener also acknowledged David's incredible power-hitting skills and hailed the dynamic right-hander for his all-round prowess.
"I think over the last two years he's shown his ability, especially at that number five, six, seven role. He's someone who just continues to get better and has a lot of exposure to different conditions I think which is really helpful as well, but yeah, his power first and foremost is really impressive, but the overall package with some handy off spin overs and good in the field."

Australia chairman of selectors George Bailey opined that an able finisher completes a T20 team, and David's outstanding returns as a finisher in T20 leagues worldwide prompted them to draft him into the squad for the showpiece event.
"I think he's been a star of the Big Bash for some time. If you look at franchises around the world and international teams around the world, the skill-set and the ability to finish an innings whether that's two balls or whether that's 12 balls, 20 balls, is highly sought after."
Notably, David has been in scintillating form in the shortest format for quite a while now. His inclusion has made Australia's batting look incredibly strong on paper and would likely help them immensely in defending their title.
