Pakistan's legendary cricketer and current batting coach Mohammad Yousuf has recently shared words of praise on batting maestro Babar Azam for his consistent run-scoring across formats on the international stage.

Pakistan's swashbuckling batter has been in ominous form in recent times and is indisputably the best all-format player in the world at the moment.

It is pertinent to mention that Babar Azam is the only batter in the world currently who is top 3 in the batting rankings across formats.

While he leads the ICC Men's T20I and ODI rankings, the Pakistan skipper recently soared to his career-best Test ranking, claiming the third spot.

Mohammad Yusuf spoke at length about Azam's captaincy skills and conceded that focusing on batting skills while leading the team is never an easy task to do and the skipper of the Green Shirts has nailed this role with utmost perfection.

What Mohammad Yusuf Said?

Speaking to the press in Dubai following Pakistan's first training session ahead of the multi-national tournament, Yousuf said:

"Babar Azam is a world-class player and his consistent performance in all three formats from the last three years is solid proof of his flight. He plays well under pressure, big players are those who perform under pressure."

"It's never easy for a captain to focus on his skills. In fact, he is performing well in all three formats."

Regarded as one of the best modern-day batters across formats, Babar Azam will next be seen in action when Pakistan takes on the arch-rivals team India in the much-hyped encounter, set to take place on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium.
