After Twenty20 and The Hundred, the limited-overs cricket has further expanded its wings as Cricket West Indies (CWI) comes up with an all-new 60-ball tournament -- The 6IXTY, which is all set to get underway from Thursday, August 25. 

The much-awaited curtain-raiser of the tournament will see Guyana Amazon Warriors squaring off against Saint Lucia Kings at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. 

Guyana Amazon Warriors, the team packed with power hitters will be led by Shimron Hetmyer while Saint Lucia Kings will be skippered by experienced all-rounder Roston Chase.

Both the teams have got some experienced campaigners in their squad and will be eager to kick start their tournament campaign on a winning note.

Key Players 

  • Shimron Hetmyer: He is one of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball and has the ability to finish off the games for his team. In 145 T20 matches, Hetmyer has accumulated 2784 runs at an average of 26.26 and a strike rate of 132.57.
  • Paul Stirling: The Ireland opener is the leading run-scorer in the history of the Abu Dhabi T10 League with 739 runs from 34 innings. He will hold the key to Guyana's batting. 
  • Colin Ingram: The South African top-order batter has garnered 7721 runs in 317 T20 matches at an average of 29.24 and a strike rate of 137.65.  
  • Roston Chase: The Caribbean all-rounder has enough experience under his belt. He has piled 812 runs in 34 T20 games while with the ball he has picked up 25 wickets at an economy rate of 6.18.
