The run chase for Mumbai Indians Women against Delhi Capitals women in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 began on a disappointing note as opener Hayley Matthews fell for just a two-ball duck, adding pressure to their pursuit of 172 runs. 

However, Yastika Bhatia came in clutch, teaming up with explosive batter Natalia Sciver to craft a 50-run partnership from just 35 balls for the second wicket, salvaging Mumbai Indians Women's position after the early blow.

The southpaw was simply outstanding, showing no mercy to the bowlers from Delhi Capitals Women as she unleashed an array of shots to bring up a commanding half-century. Her innings was a masterclass in stroke play.

While she was batting, she decided to have a go at Shikha Pandey, spanking her for two boundaries and a massive six. It happened in the sixth over of Mumbai Indians' chase. After already finding the ropes twice, she smashed a beautiful six over mid-wicket off Pandey. 

Yastika Bhatia notched up 57 runs off 45 deliveries, smashing eight boundaries and two sixes. However, her innings came to an end in the 14th over when Arundhati Reddy deceived her with a short-pitched delivery, resulting in a mistimed shot that was caught by Marizzane Kapp at deep mid-wicket.
