Sussex pacer, Brad Currie, who made his T20 Blast debut against the Hampshire Hawks at the Hove stadium on Friday, set the internet ablaze with his unbelievable catch, touted as one of the greatest of all time. Currie's acrobatic display near the boundary rope left spectators and pundits alike dumbfounded as he executed a breathtaking mid-air snatch after covering substantial ground.

The electrifying incident transpired in the penultimate over of Hampshire's chase, with 23 runs required off 11 balls. Hampshire all-rounder, Benny Howell, tried to slog a six over square leg off Tymal Mill’s bowling.

However, Currie had his own plans, defying the laws of physics as he soared through the air, hurtling in from deep square to pluck the ball out of the ether with precision. The sheer audacity of his attempt left all witnesses, including commentators, in a state of sheer disbelief.

Reflecting on the breathtaking moment after the game, a modest Currie offered insight into his otherworldly catch.

“I think you just act on instinct. Out came a flying version of me and it just sort of stuck,” said the 24-year-old prodigy.

In addition to his ethereal fielding, Currie's multifaceted talents also shone through with the ball in hand. The Scottish cricketer claimed an impressive three wickets at the cost of a mere 27 runs during his economical four-over spell.

Despite the victory, Sussex currently finds itself languishing in the eighth position within the South Group of the T20 Blast, having secured a mere three victories from nine encounters. On the other hand, Hampshire occupies the fourth spot, having missed the opportunity to ascend to third place after their defeat on Friday.
