A comedy of errors broke out during Bangladesh's innings against India Women in the third T20I match of their series on May 2.

The moment in contention features Indian fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar as well as Shreyanka Patil missing out on one of the easiest runout opportunities against a seemingly clueless Bangladesh opening batter, Dilara Akter.

The incident occurred during the fifth over of the Bangladesh innings at Sylhet when Dilara decided to seal a leg bye off the Indian speedster.

Dilara strolls, Vastrakar slips as runout goes begging

Bangladesh blitzed to a prolific start against India in the third T20I, racing to 44-0 from just six overs.

As it turned out, Team India was presented with an opportunity to rock Bangladesh early, only for fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar to fumble an easy runout chance.

In the fifth ball of the fifth over of the innings, Dilara contemplated taking a second run when she dropped her bat well outside the crease.

Much to the amusement of the commentators, the Bangladeshi opener casually strolled her way back, thus allowing Vastrakar and nearby fielder Shreyanka Patil to seize a potential runout.

However, Pooja slipped while gathering the ball and Shreyanka missed her target on the stumps before a clueless Dilara finally rushed back to her mark.

India's Renuka Singh eventually dismissed Dilara Akter for 39. Despite her top-order blitz, Bangladesh managed to conjure 117-8 from their 20 overs.

Team India overhauled their target later in the game courtesy of a splendid half-century from Shafali Verma and a fluent 47 from Smriti Mandhana.
