Swashbuckling Indian batter Shivam Dube had a memorable outing in Chennai Super Kings' ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad, hammering a breezy 24-ball 45. 

However, he fell short of a well-deserved half-century, with SRH captain Pat Cummins dismissing him in the 14th over. 

After the Super Kings lost the prized wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Dube joined the middle to steady the ship alongside Ajinkya Rahane. 

He struck two boundaries and four humongous sixes during his brief stay, contributing priceless 45 runs for his team. 

However, SRH captain Pat Cummins emerged as his nemesis, getting rid of him in the 14th over. After keeping things tight in the first three deliveries, Cummins bowled a slower delivery on to the pitch. 

The delivery had enough potential to deceive Dube, who tried to use the pace and play it fine through the square. However, as the ball had less pace, his shot went straight to Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who took a simple catch at the backward point. 

Dube's wicket was crucial from SRH's perspective, as he was all set to go berserk in the slog overs. As of writing, the Super Kings were struggling to finish their innings on a high note, with Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni batting on 27* and 1*, respectively.
