In the ongoing PSL 2024 clash between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings, the former got off to a great start, thanks to Saud Shakeel's fireworks. 

After losing English stalwart Jason Roy early, Quetta Gladiators got their innings back on track as Shakeel turned on his beast mode. 

Although the swashbuckling southpaw struck several boundaries, his audacious six off ace Zimbabwean speedster Blessing Muzarabani grabbed the limelight owing to its flair and elegance. 

The incident occurred in the third over when the Gladiators had just lost Roy after being put into bat first. 

After keeping things tight in the first two balls, Muzarabani bowled a harmless length delivery around the leg stump, as Shakeel flicked it in the air. It was an extremely well-timed shot by the left-hander, with the ball sailing over the square leg fence for an incredible six. 

Shakeel recreated the same shot against the Zimbabwean pacer a few balls later, demoralising the latter in this process. 

Riding on Shakeel's onslaught, the Gladiators have recovered well after the early setback. As of writing, they are well-placed at 53 for one at the end of the power play, with in-form batter Khawaja Nafay batting alongside Shakeel. 

Playing their sixth match, Quetta Gladiators are placed second in the PSL 2024 standings with four victories. On the contrary, it's a must-win game for the Kings as they are reeling at fifth in the six-team points table.
