Harshal Patel had been failing to deliver in IPL 2024 until Tuesday evening before Punjab Kings took on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 23 of the ongoing edition in Mullanpur. However, the IPL 2021-Purple Cap winner produced a spirited performance against the Pat Cummins-led side, and the biggest success of his was the wicket of the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen.

And Sam Curran, who took the catch to send Klaasen packing, could not resist from celebrating the dismissal with a double fist bump in front of the home crowd.

After none of Hyderabad’s top four – Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Aiden Markram, and impact sub-Rahul Tripathi – failed to deliver, the onus was on Heinrich Klaasen to play a magnificent role.

However, Harshal did not make that happen, as his 134.2 kph good length delivery sent the big fish to the hut. It was a miscued hit by the South African hard-hitting batsman, and no wonder even the bowler was delighted after he was holed out to mid-off.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar Reddy became the sensation for SRH when the big names departed cheaply. He, at the time of writing, is batting on 64* off 36 balls, while Abdul Samad is on 16* off 7 deliveries. SRH, as of now, are 145/5 after 15.5 overs.
