Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa turned back time with his big-hitting frenzy against Bhilwara Kings in match number six of the Legends League Cricket 2023 game in Dehradun. Opening the innings for Manipal Tigers upfront, the dashing right-hander clubbed a six-laden 51 from just 30 balls and paved path for a comfortable win for his side.

Former Indian batsman and white-ball veteran Robin Uthappa bludgeoned 51 runs from just 30 balls against Bhilwara Kings in his side’s second match of the ongoing Legends League Cricket 2023 season.

Opening the innings with West Indies-based Chadwick Walton, the wicketkeeper-batsman whacked five huge sixes and two additional boundaries before he became the first to depart in their 87-run opening stand.

Emboldened by Robin Uthappa’s blitzkrieg, his partner Walton himself produced 104 runs from just 55 balls to catapult their side to a colossal 211-3 off their 20 overs.

The Harbhajan Singh-led team later defended the total with much ease, as they restricted the Bhilwara Kings to just 122-8 to secure an 89-run win. Tigers’ latest triumph marked their second win in succession this tournament as they jumped to the top of the 2023 Legends League Cricket points table.

Earlier this week, the Tigers also trounced Gujarat Giants in a hard-fought final-over thriller, where Uthappa attacked at the top with a blazing 17-ball 23 in the powerplay overs.

The right-hander played the last of his 59 internationals for Team India back in 2015. However, he continued to entertain fans through his IPL exploits for the KKR, as well as for the CSK during the backend of his career.
