Indian all-rounder Shreyanka Patil unfurled the second successive clutch spell for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the ongoing Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2023 season in Port of Spain. The off-spinner snared two Trinbago Knight Riders wickets, all while conceding just 15 runs from her four overs.

Patil generated sharp turn throughout her spell, as evidenced by her delivery that cleaned up West Indies-based Knight Riders veteran Britney Cooper.

Shreyanka Patil, currently plying her all-round trade for Guyana Amazon Warriors in WCPL 2023, collected figures of 4-34 against Barbados Royals. In her very next outing in Port of Spain, the cricketer took two crucial wickets to restrict Trinbago Knight Riders within 21 runs of their target.

Patil dismissed TKR number four Mignon du Preez early in her spell before removing Britney Cooper with a sharp turn outside off stump. The 21-year-old pitched the ball outside off, which ended up clipping Cooper’s middle and leg stump to reduce Knight Riders to 84-6 in their pursuit of 133.

Shreyanka Patil also played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) earlier this year at the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 season. The youngster kept earning crucial breakthroughs for her side throughout the competition and quite recently turned up for India A at the Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 in Hong Kong.

She snared nine victims in just two outings, including four Bangladeshis in the final, where Team India emerged victorious by 31 runs to clinch the title.
