Devon Conway slammed another fifty in MLC 2023 [Twitter]

In the high-profile match between Texas Super Kings and MI New York in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023, New Zealand batter Devon Conway continued his merry run with the bat. 

Conway slammed his second consecutive fifty for TSK, which came in just 55 balls, filled with eight fours and one six. The opener's 74-run knock helped Kings reach 154, which was ably defended by their bowlers, keeping down MINY to under 137 and clinching the encounter by 17 runs.

The highlight of the match was Conway's tussle against Rashid Khan, who flew in from Bangladesh last evening and found himself in the field for MINY. Conway enjoyed success against Khan, scoring 28 runs. However, the wizard had the last laugh, eventually cleaning up the TSK batter.

Khan also took a sharp catch stationed at long-off to dismiss Cody Chetty of Kieron Pollard's bowling.

Meanwhile, Conway, who also plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, is now the leading run-getter in MCL 2023 with 129, closely followed by MINY's Tim David (125), who also plays for the Mumbai Indians franchise. 

Regarding the game, Conway's half-century powered TSK to a respectable total of 154 in 20 overs. In response, MI New York managed only 137 on the board, losing the game by 17 runs. 

With this win, TSK moved to the No.1 spot in the MLC 2023 points table, with MI New York occupying the third position.
