[Watch] Mushfiqur Rahim Takes A ‘Blinder’ As Shoriful Islam Sends Kusal Perera Packing

Mushfiqur Rahim went flying on Monday (November 6) during Bangladesh’s World Cup 2023 clash against Sri Lanka in Match 38 of the ongoing edition at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. In the process, he grabbed an outrageous catch, helping Shoriful Islam to enjoy early success with the dismissal of Kusal Perera.

It was a good length delivery by Shoriful, which was going outside the off stump. Perera, who slashed hard to get a boudnary two balls earlier, tried to play a lofted shot yet again. However, the Sri Lankan opener could only get an outside edge, which was going towards the slip.

While the catch could have been taken easily by the slip fielder, Rahim did not allow him to do that, leaping like just an athletic goalkeeper to his left to take a spectacular catch.
