MS Dhoni's helicopter shot is forever etched in cricket's folklore and with the man most probaly going through his final IPL season, it was everyone's dream to see that helicopter shot off the bat of MS Dhoni at least one time. 

That wish was finally fulfilled in the 59th match of IPL 2024 between CSK and GT at the Narendra Modi Stadium when Dhoni unleashed his helicopter against Rashid Khan.

Dhoni came out to bat after the wicket of Shivam Dube and though the match was almost gone at that time, the former CSK skipper did not shy away from entertaining the crowd. In the penultimate over of the game, he smashed Mohit Sharma for a one-handed six and then on the initial two deliveries of the final over, he smashed back-to-back sixes.

The first one of those was a helicopter shot and in this season, Dhoni has really brought out his vintage best with some unbelievable power-hitting at the death. CSK lost the game by 35 runs though and need to win their remaining two games to keep their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs in their hand.
