A breathtaking moment unfolded in the penultimate Super 4 match of Asia Cup 2023 as Pakistan's Mohammad Haris took a spectacular low catch to dismiss Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis for 91 runs (off 87 balls), who appeared to be carrying the run-chase on his shoulders.

Mendis, who is now the highest run-scorer of the ongoing continental tournament, was caught off guard by Iftikhar Ahmed's delivery on the middle stump line, leading to a thick edge that arched towards short extra cover, as Mohammad Haris dived forward and gracefully completed a brilliant catch.

As for the match, Sri Lanka clinched victory on the last ball, with Charith Asalanka smashing a boundary and taking a double off the final two balls bowled by Zaman Khan, resulting in a 2-wicket win and securing their place in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 alongside India.
