On Sunday, the Indian team had a clinical outing at Lucknow as 100 runs slumbered England. Rohit Sharma was handed the Player of the Match for his fighting knock of 87 runs, but the bowling was the one who pouched the victory for India against the reigning champions.

Mohammed Shami was the hero of the bowling innings with four deadly wickets. Whereas the spinners shared three scalps between them. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah was the one who initiated the English collapse with the wickets of Dawid Malan and Joe Root before ending the night with Mark Wood's golden duck.

In his second spell of the day, Bumrah was as lethal as possible. First, Shami cleaned Adil Rashid's woods. In the following over, the leader of India's pact nailed an unbreakable yorker ball - which any batter would have missed - against the English No11.

After winning six out of six matches in the World Cup 2023, India have virtually qualified for the semifinal of the tournament. Although a couple of Indian batters are still to perform as per their standards.

England, on the other hand, are sitting in the 10th spot of the points table and have almost ruled themselves out of the Champions Trophy 2025.
