[Watch] Ibrahim Zadran Takes A Ripper, Allows Gulbadin Naib To Flex Biceps

Gulbadin Naib’s customary bicep flex celebration is nothing new to the world of cricket. The gesture has been widely popular ever since its introduction, and on Sunday (September 3), during Afghanistan’s Asia Cup 2023 fixture against Bangladesh,the 32-year-old did it again.
However, it would not have been possible had Ibrahim Zadran not taken an excellent diving catch at slip. Towhid Hridoy, only facing his second delivery of the day, tried to drive Naib’s fullish outside the off stump delivery during the 11th over of Bangladesh’s innings. The 22-year-old attempted late, and thus, got a thick outside edge.
Zadran reacted late to take the catch, but he made sure to complete it by diving to his right with both hands.

As expected, Naib was delighted to see Zadran help him to get his first wicket of the day. He immediately flexed his biceps to celebrate his success, as Afghanistan got two wickets in two overs after Bangladesh's perfect start in their do-or-die contest.
At the time of writing, Bangladesh have reached 88/2 in 16 overs, with Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy Hasan Miraz at the crease. They have to defeat Afghanistan to keep themselves alive in the competition. Or else, if Afghanistan win, they will advance alongside Sri Lanka.
