Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings registered a thumping win by 78 runs over Sunrisers Hyderabad at Chepauk. The win was crucial for CSK after losing two consecutive games against LSG and much to the delight of the passionate home crowd, they have managed to come out on top against SRH.

Pat Cummins who has been at the centre of some heartbreaking losses for India in recent times, most prominently the World Cup 2023 final was the opposition captain and fans did not shy away from enjoying themselves when SRH were losing wickets. 

Also Pat Cummins comment of silencing the Ahmedabad crowd in the World Cup 2023 final has not gone well with the Indian fans and we saw the glimpse of 'keep silence' celebration in the crowd when Pathirana got the big wicket of Heinrich Klaasen.

The wicket fell in the 16th over when Pathirana bowled a low full toss on the middle stump line. Klaasen tried to pump it down the ground but did not get the elevation and power behind his shot, and ended up hitting it straight to Daryl Mitchell at long on.

Eventually, SRH were bundled out for 134 and CSK have roared back in form with a convincing win at home.
