Shaheen Afridi, who has been recently sacked from Pakistan's T20I captaincy, continued to star with the ball on Sunday (May 12) during the second match of the three-game series against Ireland at Clontarf Cricket Club Ground, Dublin.

However, the 24-year-old could not have enjoyed the dangerous Paul Stirling's wicket had Mohammad Amir not taken an outrageous catch at mid-on.

After Babar Azam won the toss and asked Ireland to bat first, Shaheen got Stirling’s wicket during the fourth over of Ireland’s innings. It was a length delivery by the ace speedster, which Stirling miscued while playing a slog.

The ball came to mid-on after a long stay under the sky, and Amir judged perfectly to take the catch with both hands while throwing his body in the air.

Placed at mid-off, Babar Azam was absolutely delighted to see Amir produce a spectacular effort. The Pakistan skipper hugged him from behind to shut down all the baseless rumours regarding their friendship. Even Shaheen came quickly to congratulate his pacemate.
