Chinnaswamy is turning to be paradise for batters. After Sunrisers Hyderabad did the damage against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli gave their team a flyer in the chase on Monday evening.

The opening of Du Plessis and Kohli were electric from the word-go as they had RCB's best powerplay of the season against Pat Cummins' side, smacking 79 runs in the first six overs.

During that period, former RCB all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed came to bowl an over. Du Plessis took that personally and smashed two biggies & a boundary off him.

The RCB openers shared 80 runs for the first wicket as Mayank Markande dismantled Kohli on the very second ball after the powerplay. 

Du Plessis held the forte from the other hand by scalping his second half-century of the season, but wickets kept falling from the other end.

Eventually, he, too, was demolished on 62 off 28 as he mustered under-pressure.

At the time of writing, Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat are batting in the middle for RCB, whose score reads 197/6 after 15.4 overs.
