The third and final T20I of the three-match series between Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, January 2.  

The United Arab Emirates suffered an embarrassing 72-run defeat against Afghanistan in the first T20I. Their bowlers were outclassed by Afghanistan's batters, who posted a mammoth 203 runs on the board. 

This was courtesy of Rahmanullah Gurabaz's quickfire century and Ibrahim Zadran's half-century knock. 

In response, Vriitya Aravind was the sole challenge for Afghanistan, smashing an unbeaten 70. Despite his efforts, the United Arab Emirates could only muster 131 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates bounced back stronger in their second T20I, defeating Afghanistan by 11 runs. Batting first, the UAE posted 166 runs on the board for the loss of seven wickets. In reply, Afghanistan were bowled out for 155 runs in 19.5 overs. 

The series is all square at 1–1, and the last game is expected to be a rollercoaster, considering both teams have brought their A-game in the last couple of T20 showdowns.
