In PBKS's second match, Curran contributed 23 runs off 17 balls, securing the Orange Cap. The left-handed batsman has amassed a total of 86 runs in two games. Following Curran, Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson stands second on the list with 82 runs, trailed by Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) Andre Russell and Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Nicholas Pooran.

Curran was going along really well in Bengaluru, but his attempt to accelerate the scoring led to his dismissal by Yash Dayal.

In the first innings, PBKS posted a total of 176 runs, with skipper Shikhar Dhawan leading the scoring for his team with 45 runs, supported by contributions from Curran, Prabhsimran Singh, Jitesh Sharma, and Shashank Singh.

Taking the new ball in the second innings, Curran created an opportunity in the first over, inducing an edge from Virat Kohli's bat. However, his compatriot Jonny Bairstow dropped the catch at first slip, providing the RCB opener with a reprieve. Kohli received another chance off Curran’s bowling, this time in the sixth over.
