Right from the very start, the home side Rajasthan Royals (RR) were kept under pressure by the dominant Gujarat Titans (GT) who first struck in the second over as the big-hitter Jos Buttler was sent back to the pavilion on 8.

Skipper Sanju Samson joined the opener and last match's centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal at the crease but were involved in a mix-up during the sixth over with the youngster losing his key wicket.

Soon after, one followed two and others followed suit as Rajasthan faced the Afghan storm with spinners Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed doing most of the damage sharing five scalps among themselves.

Rashid, in particular, was brilliant with figures of three for 14 in his full quota of overs whereas his countrymate registered two for 25 in three overs of bowling.

Middle order which included Devdutt Padikkal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel had to face a tough time due to the quality of spinners.

All of a sudden, they were 96 for 8 with Trent Boult and Adam Zampa out in the middle. Somehow they managed to add bonus runs to the tally as Boult contributed with 15.

In the end, 118 was all they could reach after being bowled out inside 18 overs.
