The Men in Blue led by Hardik Pandya faced a narrow 4-run loss against Rovman Powell's West Indies in the first match of the five-match T20I series. The game was held at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad & Tobago on August 3.

West Indies posted a total of 149/6 in their 20 overs, with Nicholas Pooran scoring 41 runs and Powell contributing 48. In response, India struggled to contend with the home team's bowling attack and managed to reach only 145/9 in their allotted 20 overs. As a result, West Indies took a 1-0 lead in the series.

The second T20I between India and West Indies is slated to occur on August 6, 2023, at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana. Providence Stadium Guyana Weather Forecast

Georgetown, Guyana's weather forecast predicts a mix of clouds and morning showers on Sunday (August 6). Nevertheless, the day is anticipated to be mainly sunny with a peak temperature of 32°C.

Although there are showers expected at 10 AM local time, they are unlikely to interfere with the sunny conditions throughout the remainder of the day.

Here's how the venue looks right now:

The venue has been favourable to quick bowlers, leading to several low-scoring matches with an average first innings score of 123. Spinners also find assistance due to the wicket's slower nature, making run-scoring difficult as the game progresses. However, in the most recent T20I held at the ground, a team managed to comfortably chase down a score above 150, defying the usual trends. The history suggests that the team chasing has often emerged victorious at this venue, but the outcome of the series opener might tempt the teams to consider setting a target and defending it.

It would be fascinating to see how both teams adapt their strategies to exploit the pitch conditions and whether they choose to set a target or chase. With the unpredictability of the ground and the contrasting strengths of the teams, fans can expect an enthralling clash that could swing either way, adding to the excitement and anticipation of the game.
