Rajasthan Royals (RR) lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match No. 52 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on a doubleheader Sunday, May 07, 2023, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur at 7.30 PM IST. At the same time, skipper Hardik Pandya amassed 39* as the Titans reached the target comfortably in 13.5 overs with the loss of just one wicket. Rashid was adjudged the Player of the Match for his solid spell.


SRH in IPL 2023

It's been another disappointing season for SRH, as they have played nine games with just three victories and six defeats. With 6 points and an NRR of -0.540, they are languishing at the ninth position in the table.

SRH Last Match in IPL 2023

SRH last played against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match No. 47, and they somehow managed to mess it up to lose it by five runs.

Captain Nitish Rana won the toss and opted to bat first. He struck 42 off 31 while Rinku Singh hit 46 as the Knight Riders posted 171/9 on the board in their allotted 20 overs. Seamers Marco Jansen and T Natarajan picked up two wickets each for SRH. 

Chasing 172, skipper Aiden Markram amassed 41 while his countryman Heinrich Klaasen scored 36; it wasn't enough as the Orange Army fell short at the end of what looked like a comfortable victory. Spinner Varun Chakaravarthy won the Player of the Match award for defending nine runs in the last over and figures of 1/20 (4).

In reply, Abdul Samad top-scored for his team with his knock of 32, while the remaining battling line-up failed miserably. Yuzvendra Chahal spun his web with figures of 4/17 (4) as the home side got restricted to 131/8 in 20 overs. Buttler won the Player of the Match award for his quickfire half-century.
