In an unfortunate turn of events, the first T20I between India and South Africa could be interrupted by inclement weather conditions, with rain arriving at the wrong time at the Kingsmead in Durban. As per the latest image shared by none other than the BCCI, the Kingsmead ground is under covers, as it's raining heavily in Durban.

Fans across the globe are eagerly waiting to witness the high-voltage clash between India and South Africa. This series holds significant importance for both teams, as it will give them a golden opportunity to resolve their woes before the all-important World Cup next year.

However, the first T20I of the three-match series is in jeopardy, with rain likely to play spoilsport at the iconic Kingsmead in Durban. The latest pictures coming from the ground are discouraging, with the outfield being under covers due to a persistent downpour.

Kingsmead Durban Weather Report For Today

As per AccuWeather, Durban is likely to witness significant rainfall today, with the chances of precipitation reading as high as 55 per cent. Although the temperature will be ideal for cricket, the wet playing conditions might prevent the fans from witnessing the exciting face-off between the two outfits.

If it stops raining, we might see a delayed start to the game, with the pitch assisting the seamers early on with the new ball. However, if it continues to rain, the opening game might be abandoned before both teams travel to Gqeberha for the second T20I.
