Sharjah Warriors have won three of the six games played at the time of this writing. Batting has been by far the biggest weakness of the franchise this ILT20 2024 season. 

Besides Johnson Charles, the rest of the order has failed to come through. In a recent matchup against MI Emirates, the team witnessed a brutal collapse as they could only put up a total of 129 runs on board. 

Needless to say, the team suffered a humiliating loss. Since then, the team’s odds of playoff qualification have taken a steep hit. That being said, the bowling unit led by Maheesh Theekshana has had its movements of glory. Theekshana, in particular, has been phenomenal and consistent with his clinical economy rate.

Regardless, the whole unit needs to come together to put up a good show against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in order to keep the playoff hopes alive.

Abu Dhabi Knight Riders

Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have been phenomenal this ILT20 season. They currently rank second in the points table and are likely to comfortably qualify for the playoffs.

In their previous game against Dubai Capitals, Andre Russell showcased his magic, and his 41 runs innings off 16 deliveries guided the Knight Riders to an above-part 183 runs inning score.  Andre Russell has been good throughout the season and has displayed the power he is known for.

Skipper Sunil Narine, Imad Wasim, and David Willey picked two wickets each in the chase to seal another convincing victory for the Knight Riders.

That being said, the Knight Riders cannot let their guard down in the final week of the league stage. They must strive to finish higher in the points table to gain an advantage in the playoffs.
