Desert Vipers, after securing a thumping win over Gulf Giants, succumbed to Abu Dhabi Knight Riders on Saturday. After the batters put up a decent total of 154 runs on board in the first innings, things went haywire in the second half.

Ironically, the Vipers, who boast a strong bowling unit comprising Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir, and Shadab Khan, let the team down this time around.

While Afridi couldn't pick up any wickets, Shadab's poor run refused to die down. To further add to the misery, Tymal Mills leaked 45 runs in three overs as the Knight Riders earned redemption after a brutal loss vs. MI Emirates. 

Overall, the lack of team effort led to a brutal loss as the Vipers found themselves in the bottom two of the points table.

Sharjah Warriors hit a new low in the previous fixture against MI Emirates. After being put into the steep chase of 180 runs, the Warrior's batting order feels like a pack of cards.

Akeal Hosein left the Warriors batters stunned with his elite execution and finished his spell with four wickets. Besides, the in-form pacers Trent Boult and Fazal Farooqi supported Akeal in bowling out the Warriors under 80 runs to further solidify its position on the top of the points table.

That being said, Sharjah Warriors have only themselves to blame for the humiliating loss. The wicket was good enough to bat on. Had the top order kept their patience level in check, a close contest was on the cards.
