Surrey Jaguars and Montreal Tigers will take on each other in Match 3 of the ongoing third season of Global T20 Canada (GT20 2023) on Saturday, July 22. Both the teams will be in action for the first time in this tournament and will be looking to start their campaign with a win.

Team Previews

Surrey Jaguars

Surrey Jaguars, has aligned a good lineup ahead of the third edition of the Global T20 Canada. Pakistani international Iftikhar Ahmed will captain the side which includes a number of T20 superstars from the cricketing world.

The likes of Alex Hales, Litton Das, Jason Behrendorff will be in action for the Jaguars, followed by a couple of big names from the associate nations in Sandeep Lamichane and Bernard Scholtz as well.

There are some notable local stars in the side which will offer the much needed local taste. Overall, a pretty balanced squad with couple of players yet to join ahead of the first game of their campaign.

Montreal Tigers

On the other hand, Montreal Tigers have accumulated a star-studded team for the 2023 edition of the Global T20 Canada. 

Veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will captain the side which possess a very good depth with all-round players, including the likes of Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, and the skipper himself.

They have also aligned some prominent bowlers like Akif Raja, Abbas Afridi and Aayan Afzal Khan. Local players like Kaleem Sana, Matthew Spoors and Anoop Chima will be in action as well.  A very versatile group overall which will start the tournament as one of the early contenders.
