James Anderson's enduring presence in world cricket truly exemplifies the adage 'Age is just a number'.

His enduring presence in England's Test squad is indeed remarkable, especially considering his consistent performance and longevity in the sport.

Despite nearing the milestone of 700 wickets at the age of 41, he shows no signs of slowing down or contemplating retirement. Anderson remains as fit and hungry for success as ever, with no noticeable dip in his form.

On day 2 of the second Test, a humorous incident involving a spectator's poster in Ranchi was seen, expressing the sentiment of delaying studies until Anderson retires.

This poster caught the attention of Ravi Shastri, who was in the commentary box and responded to the poster, playfully advising the young fan to wait and go on a holiday.

“You’ve got to wait, young man. You are not studying soon, go on a long holiday. It is not happening any time soon.”

Anderson handed England an early breakthrough on Day 2 of the Test as he dismissed India captain Rohit Sharma for just two runs in the third over of the innings. It was a delivery outside off, and Rohit prodded forward and got an edge that carried straight to wicketkeeper Ben Foakes.

Anderson made his Test debut in 2003 and is now playing his 186th Test. He is the second most capped player in Test history after Sachin Tendulkar, who featured in 200 Tests.
