Smriti Mandhana did tried to take the pressure off with some boundaries but only managed to lose her wicket after that. A little resurgence from Richa Ghosh and Georgia Wareham did not caused much trouble to Gujarat as they went home with their first victory of the season.

Gujarat Giants are in the middle of yet another disappointing season and have lost all their four games so far. Their batting has been below-par and they have failed to click as a unit with likes of Mooney, Litchfield, Gardner not living up to their billing. Gardner did show signs of getting back to form in the last game while bowlers have also done decently. They all need to fire in unison though and it would be interesting to see how they go about their business.
