• The PBKS top-order has not fired big in the tournament. However, their middle-order and lower-order has fired and thus PBKS have shown great depth in their batting line. The PBKS skipper might look to field first on winning the toss. 
• Shashank Singh has been the most consistent batter for PBKS in the tournament. He is also coming up the order since the last few matches and will be one of the most important choices as the C or VC of the match. Besides Shashank, Jonny Bairstow could be a good C or VC choice for the game. 
• Kagiso Rabada looked in a good rhythm at the start of the tournament. However, his form has dipped in the last couple matches. Rabada is a class act and could regain his rhythm on any given day. The CSK skipper did not have a great start to the tournament with the bat. However, with the progression of the tournament, Ruturaj Gaikwad has picked up form and emerged as the prime run-scorer for CSK. Given the form he is in, Gaikwad will be a great option as the C or VC for the match. 

Shivam Dube (CSK)

The Indian all-rounder has been in a great hitting form in the tournament. Shivam Dube, as a batter has looked much complete in this edition of the IPL. Dube has provided great solidity to the CSK middle-order and that makes him one of the safest C or VC choices for the match.

The PBKS top order has been inconsistent in the tournament. While the top three or four were not firing Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma were saving the team in the middle and lower middle-order. Shashank has been very consistent with his run-scoring in the tournament and recently he has also been promoted up the order. Singh will be a decisive choice as the C or VC in this game. 

Sam Curran (PBKS)

The English all-rounder has been in decent form in IPL 2024. He has 12 wickets under his belt and has also played a couple of decent knocks with the bat. Selecting Sam Curran as the C or VC for this game gives you the opportunity to maximise your points in both innings of the game.

Matheesha Pathirana (CSK)

The Sri Lankan pacer has been a match-winner for CSK with the ball. Matheesha Pathirana is regularly chipping in with wickets and that makes him one of the prime choices as C or VC. But the risk with selecting bowler as a C or VC, especially in the T20 format is that you cannot predict when they will have a great day and when they will completely go off the track.

The English batter has struggled with his form in the tournament. But in the previous game, Bairstow played a brilliant knock and helped PBKS scale down a record chase against KKR. However, Jonny B has suffered from inconsistency throughout his career and that makes him a risky choice as the C or VC.

Deepak Chahar (CSK)

The Indian medium-pacer has struggled with his rhythm in the tournament. Though Deepak Chahar has picked up a couple of wickets in the opening overs in some games, he has been no where close to his best. Given the form he is going through, Chahar could be avoided as the C or VC of the match. 

Rahul Chahar (PBKS)

The Indian leg-spinner has not found form with the ball in this tournament. Rahul Chahar's inability to pick up wickets in the middle-overs has proved costly to the team. Therefore, it would be better to avoid him as the C or VC in the fantasy contests of the match.
